After purchasing alloy wheels,make sure you clean them on a regular basis. Remember, they're the dirtiest part of your vehicle because they are constantly exposed to the elements (brake dust,road salt, paint-chipping stones and cinders and sticky tar).

Cleaning alloy wheels is an important process since it can turn into a disaster if you choose the wrong products and methods.

By the time passes,alloy wheels can get lose its sparkle by brake dust,general dirt and minor scratches.After a few months,a wet sponge will not be enough to get rid of the stubborn grime and black spots.

Take good care of your alloy wheels with simple steps and right products!

Before we start,please bare in mind that there are some wheel cleaners in the market which contains acidic solution.These cleaners may help to get rid of the dust and dirt off your wheelbut it can also damage your alloy wheels paint permanently.

CLEANING ALLOY WHEELS:

You will need the following items:

1-)Acid-free alloy wheel cleaner

2-)A soft brush

3-)A microfibre cloth

3-)An appropriate metal polish (We recommend rim wax!)

Step 1:Use your alloy wheel cleaner and spray around the wheel.Make sure you cover all parts of the wheels.The alloy wheel cleaner will penetrate any dirt and grime.



Step 2:Brush the wheel.This will help to agitate the cleaner and loosens any dirt,brake dust and grime.



Step 3:After you have brushed your wheels,use the microfiber cloth to remove the cleaner along with the dirt,dust and the general debris.

Step 4:If you still have stubborn stains that do not come off, then spray alloy wheel cleaner again and wipe the stains down with the microfiber cloth.

Step 5:Use the clean side of the cloth with the wheel polish. Wheel polish is a specialised wax that quickly restores bright and protected wheel finish.

Take a small amount of polish and work it in to your wheel. Keep doing this untill your wheel starts to look nice and shiny.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or pads on your wheels.
Brake dust is corrosive to alloy wheels and should be removed as soon as possible.
